Terms and Conditions of Sale
Article 1: Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all orders received via the Cathédrales-gothiques.com website, excluding e-books. They are valid at the time the order is placed. They apply solely to sales to individual consumers.
Article 2: Book Availability
The book is offered while supplies last. In the event of simultaneous orders, the book may be temporarily out of stock. If, after thirty days, it is still unavailable, you may cancel your order.
Article 3: Price
Prices are listed in euros, inclusive of all taxes, and include processing fees. Shipping costs vary depending on the shipping method chosen by the buyer. The print edition is sold in accordance with French regulations on fixed book prices (the “Lang” law).
For any order shipped to a country other than metropolitan France, customs duties or local taxes may apply. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. All orders are invoiced and payable in Euros.
Article 4: Payment & Orders
Payment may be made:

- Via PayPal account
- By credit card via the PayPal website
- By check payable in France, denominated in Euros, made out to Pierre Bellenguez – 68 impasse Lartigon – 40150 Angresse.
The order will not be processed until the check has cleared.
Article 5: Delivery
In France, items are shipped via tracked mail, Colissimo, or Mondial Relay, depending on the buyer’s choice.
Note: The following clause will be null and void as of July 1, 2025.
For deliveries outside metropolitan France, items are shipped under La Poste’s “Books and Brochures” service, without a tracking number. The customer is responsible for importation and any customs formalities. Any associated costs are the customer’s sole responsibility.
Article 6: Cancellation Period
In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from the date of receipt of your order to exercise your right to cancel. The book must be returned in perfect condition, unread, and in its original packaging to be eligible for a refund.
You must notify Cathédrales-gothiques.com of your decision in writing (by mail or email). Cash-on-delivery returns are not accepted. The refund will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the returned product or proof of shipment.
A sample withdrawal form can be provided upon request.
Article 7: Personal Data
Personal information is treated with the strictest confidentiality. In accordance with the amended “Data Protection Act” of January 6, 1978, and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to, and request the portability of your personal data.

Your data is never transferred or resold to third parties.
Article 8: Disclaimer of Liability
Cathédrales-gothiques.com shall not be held liable in the event of non-performance of the contract attributable to the consumer, a force majeure event, or a third party.
Nor can the site be held liable for the content of external sites accessible via hyperlinks.
Article 9: Digital Books (PDF)
Digital books (PDF) are not provided on physical media.
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the customer expressly acknowledges that the performance of the contract begins upon confirmation of the order, which entails the immediate delivery of the file, and thereby waives their right of withdrawal. No cancellations, exchanges, or refunds are possible after the download.
Article 10: Customer
Acceptance
Any order implies the customer’s full and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. Confirmation of the order via PayPal or by check constitutes acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. A confirmation checkbox is provided for this purpose during the online ordering process.
Article 11: Disputes – Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute
that cannot be resolved amicably, the matter will be submitted to the competent court in
Dax.
